Compliance Officer

A vacancy exists within ZZ2 for a Compliance Officer. The main focus of the position is to develop a system or framework to ensure that the ZZ2 system proactively meets all the various audit and accreditation requirements and standards

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

The compilation of a broad and conceptual framework to describe and functionally integrate all accreditation and compliance processes and standards, taking into account existing systems and processes.

Proactive planning, preparation and follow-up of affirmative action plans for inspections and accreditation audits in collaboration with functional departments.

Coordinating, facilitating and monitoring inspections and audits in collaboration with functional teams and experts.

Liaison with Audit and Accreditation bodies following follow-up audits and clarification and interpretation of concepts, principles, requirements and standards


Minimum requirements include:

Candidates must have an after-school qualification, preferably in agriculture, with relevant experience of 3-5 years.

Previous exposure in the audit and or accreditation disciplines is essential.

Knowledge of HACCP, SIZA, Rain Forest Alliance, Farming for the Future and other accreditation systems and standards will serve as recommendations.

High level of verbal and written communication skills.

Computer literate in appropriate software.

Liaison with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis.

Good knowledge and understanding of team dynamics.
